Reflection

Opportunities for reflection are woven throughout school life and across all areas of learning. The Christian character of our school places reconciliation at the heart of how we build strong, positive relationships. Through our ALWAYS Awards, children explore a Christian value in depth and are encouraged to develop it within themselves.

Across the week, pupils take part in dedicated reflection sessions which support their spiritual development. These may include learning about Christian values, listening to Bible stories, discussing Big Questions, or exploring important issues in the wider world.

Each classroom has a dedicated reflection area to provide children with a calm and meaningful space to focus during these times. The area displays the key value for the term, the class cross designed by pupils during transition, a candle, and a coloured cloth to represent the day in the liturgical calendar.
